Day 1 of the L-L track and field championships gets underway.

CV's Robbie Cardina with a 6'8" jump
to take silver

In the javelin... Manheim Central's Cole Proffitt uncorked a Baron school-record 200-7 to win gold...

 While in the high jump... Garden Spot's Max Mahan and Robbie Cardina both cleared 6'8... but Mahan awarded the gold because he took less attempts.

Ephrata's Mary Witmer also put in a phenomenal performance... going 37-11 1/2 in the triple jump... breaking a 25 year old meet record.
